Other Kingston restauranteurs should make a point of visiting this restaurant and take some notes on how to improve their own ventures. When dining at Curry Original, one realizes the long lost art of Hospitality is still utililized here. The food is excellent, the staff and management are warm and receptive, and the decor and atomsphere softly blend aspects of India and Kingston (which is no easy feat!). After reading other reviews for this restaurant, I notice people complaining about the length of time it took for their meals to arrive. This is not fast food. IF the Chef prepares his dishes with passion and care, It WILL take longer if the restaurant is busy!!!.. THe end result is delicious food, so relax, smile at the person across the table from you, and enjoy your experience there, (Dining Out used to be about more than just stuffing your face as quickly as possible). Curry Original is one of the few restaurants left in this town where the owners goal is your complete satisfaction rather than your Visa card number.

Best Indian food in Kingston. Of course, you pay a extra for the little increase in quality over the competitors, but it's worth it. The service can sometimes not keep up with demand, and they sometimes don't do a good job handling it. At least they gave us free appetizers for being slow.
The food is is to die for. By far, one of THE best Indian restaurants around. The service is prompt, courteous and attentive. But the FOOD!! - served piping hot and absolutely delicious. The butter chicken is amazing. I always order extra so we can enjoy the leftovers the next day.
One of our favourite restaurants in Kingston and we go there whenever we can.
