I ordered a 3 piece Pollack and chips and there is hardly enough for 2 people quality for take out has gone down hill since they opened their 2nd store such a shame
I've been here before and I'll be back again. I had the pollack with fries and I think it might be the best fish I ever had and the fries are excellent. I had the three piece and it was way too much to eat at once.They've done some renovations since I was there last too.
First, the staff is friendly, the place is clean. Most of us had the Halibut and Chips and the portions were huge and the same price as anywhere else!!! I don't know how they do their fries, but they are the best. Golden Fish & Chips restaurant is Great. Anyone who loves Fish & Chips must try this place. Great job guys!!! Don't change I thing,
All you people that have given this restaurant a horrible review should really look again. First, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable. The portions are extremely more than any other Fish & Chip restaurant in Guelph, Fergus, Orangeville, Mississauga and Brampton. As I have been involved with a Fish & Chip restaurant in Mississauga for a considerable amount of time (working there, doing the accounting and costing, researching other Fish & Chips restaurants for quality and pricing), and Golden Fish & Chips is exceptional with both quality, size and pricing. In the fish wholesale industry, the last year prices for fish has been on the rise. Also, all the restaurants I have researched the portions, for example Halibut is always ONLY 4 – 5 ozs, whereas Golden Fish & Chips portions are 6 ozs with the prices the same and have not risen in the past year!! If they decide to raise the prices it would not be unreasonable as most restaurants have already raised their prices over the past year. Also, most Fish & Chips restaurants use Yukon Gold potatoes, which are good, but, this restaurant uses a different type of potato and it’s much superior! In conclusion, Golden Fish & Chips restaurant is Awesome! Everyone should try it and write a review so there are NOT just negative reviews.
This place is definitely not one i would recommend probably not the best tasting fish I've ever had in fact it was dry and extremely soggy and way too salty.
