This neighbourhood bar opened its doors for business on Friday 28 September 2018. The crowd was so large that the doormen had to halt the mass of people waiting to enter. Luckily I strolled in at 01:00 without any delay. Large selection of beers, a spacious dance floor and good seating to view the large TV screens suspended above the bar. The beauty of this bar is that it is a 5 minute walk from my home <(;-)

After a movie date we were trying to get into one of the places beside the movie theatre but the wait was too long. One of the party suggested the Galway Arms close by. I've never been and I surprised to have a place with good food, service and atmosphere in the area that I hadn't heard of. And I hear its been there for 20 years too!!!
We all ordered something different from the menu so we could try different things. Nachos to start - nice big portion with lots of veggies and with lots of cheese. We discovered that the Irish Stew, Shephards Pie, Burgers and Steak and Mushroom Pie were all homemade - so different from the ones you get elsewhere and you could choose if you wanted fries, salad, mashed potatoes or soup with your order. I had the Louisiana Chicken Wrap which was very tasty but its a very large portion so you'll have lunch for tomorrow. Everything was hot and really good and large enough that some of us took leftovers home. Those that didn't cleared our plates!!!!! We were divided on the fries as not all of us were big fans of the hand cut fries but those that did like them loved them - soaked in vinegar.
Our server remembered everything (including all of the weird requests) without writing it down and everything came out exactly as ordered. She gave us very prompt service and was naturally friendly to us and even took time to talk to one of the guys who was thinking of a trip to Ireland by telling him when the flights would be cheaper, ideal times to visit, places in Dublin to visit etc. We've decided to make this our after movie treat from now on and look forward to the patio in the summer.

The service was excellent. Servers were polite. We didn’t have reservations, and the pub was crowded but they managed to give us a table. That’s how well they treat the customers. Food was good and the community band was very good . We danced away the night through early morning .

Really cool atmosphere inside. Trendy.
The sausages are a little over priced, but they are good quality. Not extremely fatty and oily as you'd expect.
Duck fat fries, alone, are worth going for!

Great ambience, gorgeous decor and killer cocktails. Sit at the bar and talk to the very knowledgeable bartenders. You'll learn a lot and they'll be your guide to the best drinks and tapas on the menu (because it all sounds so good you won't be able to choose).

We love this place! It is pub food with a warm atmosphere. The entertainment on Sunday afternoons is great. Jack Dekuyser, Johnny Max etc.
It has become our local pub.
