Updates

  • Building on our post from earlier this week, we took a closer look at the 2024 Incentive Travel Index findings, specifically around budget allocations. Incentive travel is evolving, and while immersive experiences remain at the heart of every program, a significant portion of budgets is now being consumed by core expenses—leaving less room for those unique, memorable touches. At Communiqué, we believe that every attendee touchpoint matters. From where attendees stay to where they dine and the activities they experience, each decision shapes the overall impact of a program. With 66% of budgets allocated to hotels, flights, and F&B, simply getting people through the door has become a challenge. It’s time to get creative with budgets—and that’s where we shine. Our team is relentless in maximizing budgets—leveraging strong vendor partnerships, strategic negotiations, and creative solutions to stretch every dollar. The result? Exceptional program experiences that never compromise on quality. Let’s make every moment count! The Incentive Research Foundation #IncentiveTravel #EventPlanning #BudgetStrategy #AttendeeExperience

  • Incentive travel is on the rise, and 2025 is shaping up to be a year of growth, innovation, and transformation. According to the 2024 Incentive Travel Index, there are many trends on the horizon that are shaping future programs and their budgets. As we explore trends related to growth, budgets, and spending, we need to look deeper into the following: 1. Allocation of budgets 2. Understanding the change to per person costs 3. The rise of exclusive experiences 4. Changing destination types Follow us as we take a closer look into these trends and provide our POV on the upcoming year ahead.  Here is the link to the download the full report: https://lnkd.in/gMQUgjR For inquiries about booking your next incentive program or corporate meeting, please contact our team at: mail@communique.to The Incentive Research Foundation SITE #IRF #IncentiveTravel #EventProfs #CorporateIncentives #TravelTrends #BusinessGrowth #EmployeeEngagement #ExceptionalExperiences

  • Five years ago, the world came to a halt. Events were canceled, travel stopped, and the way we connected changed overnight. But through it all, we adapted, innovated, and found new ways to bring people together—virtually at first, and then back to in-person experiences that feel more meaningful than ever. Heading into Covid and working in the event industry meant there were a lot of unknowns. While it was a challenging time, we were able to quickly adapt our business, modify our service offerings, and keep the lights on. Here’s what’s different today: ·       Like the rest of the event industry, we pivoted to virtual, but we are happy to back to in-person events – it’s where we thrive ·       We took the time to rebrand, bringing to life a new creative identity for our business – think all things pink ·       We’ve changed the way we work and have found a happy medium adopting a hybrid office model – who doesn’t love flexibility   ·       We moved offices and are now located in the vibrant neighbourhood of King West – anyone want to join us for happy hour? ·       We know how to evoke force majeure and negotiate a mean cancellation clause in our clients’ best interest – we’ve built some serious street cred While the shift to virtual was a learning curve for everyone, we adapted quickly and thrived—earning two virtual accolades: the 2020 SITE Canada ‘Virtual Excellence’ Award and the 2021 Canadian Special Events Award for ‘Most Outstanding Virtual Event of the Year.’ Now, as we return to in-person events, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve been named a finalist for the 2025 Canadian Special Events Awards for ‘Outstanding Logistical Achievement.’ It’s incredible to see things come full circle, and we are truly honoured to be recognized for this prestigious award. Today, and every day, we’re reminded of how far we’ve come and what our current reality looks like. While there were many challenging days, too many cancellations to process, and uncertainty in the event industry in general, the reality is, we might not have made it to where we are today without having to “pivot”. #GiftBoxes #Agility #ThePivot #5YearsAgo #EventIndustry #StrongerTogether #Resilience #BringingPeopleTogether #LookingForward

  • This #InternationalWomensDay, we proudly stand as a women-owned and led agency that thrives on bringing people together. As we embrace this year’s theme—#AccelerateAction—we take a moment to reflect on what a truly gender-equal world looks like and how we can continue to celebrate our differences while lifting each other up. For over a century, International Women’s Day has served as a powerful reminder of the progress we have made and the challenges that are still ahead. Yet, many of the barriers women faced generations ago still persist today. It’s time to come together, take action, and drive change. At our core, we are built on collaboration, passion, and the drive to make an impact together. As a proud WBE Canada-certified organization, we are committed to championing women-owned and led businesses while empowering women in every industry. Today, we honor the incredible women who lead, inspire, and push boundaries every day. Here’s to strong women, strong teams, and a future free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination—where equality isn’t just a goal, but a reality. 💪 #AccelerateAction#IWD2025 #WBECertified #WomenSupportingWomen #WomenLed #ProudOfOurTeam

  • Today is Employee Appreciation Day, and at Communiqué, we know just how powerful recognition can be! Our team is made up of strong, driven women who bring people together—both within our own organization and through the incentive travel programs we design for our clients. These programs are all about celebrating and appreciating employees in meaningful, unforgettable ways. Just as we encourage our clients to invest in their teams, we make it a priority to recognize and give back to our own team. This year, we’ve introduced Flex Fridays — whenever work allows, our team enjoys Friday afternoons off! While it’s not every week, as client work is top priority, we work hard to make it happen as often as possible because we know how important it is to recharge and enjoy some well-deserved personal time. To our incredible team—thank you for your passion, dedication, and commitment to making every experience exceptional. Today and every day, we appreciate you! #EmployeeAppreciationDay #IncentiveTravel #RecognitionMatters #TeamCommuniqué

  • This week, our client is flying 100 team members into Toronto for their annual Sales Summit! Behind the scenes, our Air team has been working diligently to ensure every ticket is booked and every detail is in place for a seamless travel experience. With attendees flying in and out in under three days, this program is short but impactful. It’s always inspiring to collaborate with clients who prioritize bringing people together in person. We truly believe in the power of face-to-face interaction to foster collaboration, ignite inspiration, and build lasting, meaningful connections. These moments of connection extend well beyond the event itself, creating a lasting impact that strengthens relationships and drives long-term success. Here’s to making every event count and celebrating the clients and teams that make it all happen! #EventProfs #EventManagement #SalesSummit #TeamConnection #BringingPeopleTogether

  • Today we kick off a 4-day program in Mont Tremblant, that blends business, physical activity, and local experiences. It’s the ideal mix of work and play! ❄️ Mornings on the slopes 📝 Afternoons in impactful training sessions 🍽️ Evenings filled with exclusive private dining experiences To cap it all off, we’ve planned a special s’mores bonfire on their final night—because no winter retreat is complete without it! We’re seeing more organizations kick off the year by bringing their teams together for programs that combine business goals with incentive-style bonding. It's a powerful way to strengthen connections, build morale, and set the tone for success in 2025! #TeamConnections #WorkAndPlay #MontTremblantExperience #IncentiveTravel #BusinessWithPurpose
